Teaching:
I have taught for more than 15 years across a range of institutional types in higher education. Most recently, I worked as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Philosophy and in the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver. I have also worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the political science department at Kenyon College. Prior to the pandemic, I taught at Metropolitan State University of Denver for ten-and-a-half years (31 consecutive semesters) and at AIMS Community College in northern Colorado for three semesters in 2001–20002.
I have designed and taught more than 100 classes in five disciplines on subjects including political philosophy, liberalism and democracy, political ideology, American government, international relations, U.S. foreign and military policy, global political economy, U.S.–Russian relations, religion and international affairs, the politics of LGBT liberation in America, Western Civilization, U.S. history, and political geography.
